For as long as I can rememeber I've been an avid crafter. Over the years I've flipped and flopped between many different types of crafting. It was a way to keep my hands and mind busy. Now a days I make way too many things that I can keep myself or gift away to friends and family so in the last few years I've been attmepting to find the best way to sell my creations at festivals in person and now widen my range to selling online as well.

At this time I'm just starting out. Because if this and having limited funds I've only just begun with a free account here which limits how much I can add at a time.

What's in a name?

I often hear that the name that I've chosen for my little selling endevor was unique, interesting, or just plain cute.
Settling on what to call this side hustle was very hard since many others have come before me and taken the names that imediately came to mind. Add onto that the fact that standing out is half the battle, I had my work cut out for me. I decided to use the Snickelfritz as the main part of my moniker because it was a nickname I picked up while working at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. My real name sounds run-of-the-mill but my mother wanted me to be unique so she gave it an unconventional spelling. Naturally this leads it to be misspelled constantly. Such was the case when I recieved my clock in card for the Faire. Being new I wasn't sure if this would be a problem so I made sure to ask my supervisors about it. After they informed me it's not an issue unless I have a problem with the spelling I responded, "You can call me Snickelfritz for all I care as long as I get paid." So we all had a giggle at that and it stuck. The second part was a little harder since they always say you should use something that tells the customer what you're selling/making. Sadly my revolving door of hobbies and interests made that difficult.  I wanted something that could encompass all the things I create and accomidate my ever changing hyperfocus. I settled on fantasies since one constant interest in my life has been the fantasy genre in books, movie, games, etc. This also fits since a lot of my creations also somehow fit into that as well.
